Pouch laminating uses coated plastic pouches which are sealed at one end. Documents are placed in the pouches and fed through a pouch laminating machine which uses heated rollers to melt the coating and seal in the document. Pouch laminating machines are usually very compact and come in a variety of prices that are sure to fit nearly any budget. Pouch laminating is mostly designed for home or light office use; it’s a slower method of laminating, both due to the speed capabilities of most pouch laminating machines, as well as the additional effort required to center documents into pouches and keep them aligned properly until they have begun rolling through the laminator.
